    Equip the Terra Tiller to enter Village Builder Mode, which lets you improve each village's development zones. First, remove debris with the X Button. Then, place fields or buildings wherever you have space.

    Press the Y Button in Village Builder Mode to open the Building menu. Select and place anything from seeds to terrain tiles.

  • Terrain Tiles

    Development zone terrain tiles include fields, rice paddies, hills, and more. To create terrain tiles, press the Down Button to call Woolby.

    Grow crops in any field tiles you place. Select seeds and plant them with the A Button. Certain villagers can improve or impede crop growth, so choose your workers wisely.

  • Growing Crops

    Water seeds you plant with the A Button, then wait a few days for them to grow. Crops will wither without regular water, although performing the Drum Dance can revive them or even accelerate their growth.

  • Shipping Goods

    Toss any crops you've grown or items you've found into your shipping shed to sell them for cash by the following morning. Select the items you want to sell, then press the X Button to send them to the shipping shed.

    Raise a village's level to gain many benefits, such as a bigger villager population and increased building limits. Once you've earned enough village XP, talk to the village's patron god or call them at their shrine to level up.

    Construct buildings and decorations at a carpenter and place them in a village's development zone. Buildings include houses for villagers, businesses like teahouses and blacksmiths, and much, much more!

  • Village Bonuses

    Place buildings and decorations in a development zone to gain player stat bonuses. Duplicate structures or items that clash with a village's style don't give any bonuses.

  • Teahouses/Izakaya

    Talk to the villager running these restaurants to buy food or whip up a meal. You must know the recipe and have all the relevant ingredients to cook a particular dish. Eating food can restore HP, give you buffs, and bestow various other effects.

  • Blacksmiths

    Talk to the villager in charge of a blacksmith to forge and enhance equipment. In addition to the relevant recipe, you need money and materials. You can also increase a piece of gear's magatama slots here.

  • Carpenters

    Talk to the villager in charge of a carpenter to construct buildings and decorations. You must already have the recipe, as well as enough money and materials.

    Use the ledger at any village's god shrine to schedule a contest. Contests take place on most Holidays one or two weeks in the future and offer a chance to win fabulous prizes. However, you can't schedule contests on a Holiday the day before, the day of, or the day after a festival.

    Any villages below their population limit may attract new villagers. Villagers can gather resources, do farmwork, run shops, and perform all kinds of jobs.

  • Villager Stats

    Output refers to how many resources a villager gathers each day. Cost to Feed shows their daily food costs, which you must pay with your personal funds. View a villager's Qualities by highlighting them and pressing the X Button.

    You can assign villagers jobs to perform each day. Some jobs require special skills.

  • Job Types

    Farming:
    Grow, harvest, and ship crops.
    Logging:
    Chop trees around the village to gather lumber, then head outside the village to find more.
    Mining:
    Gather material stone and ore outside the village.
    Trading:
    Run a particular shop from which you can buy and sell items. This job also brings in village income every day.
    Herding:
    Collect materials from any monsters living in barns.
    Fishing:
    Catch all sorts of fish and marine life.
